our Methodology

What does it mean to work “enough”?

It’s THE question behind everything we do.

Work enough to earn enough to feel enough

We work with you to define what “enough” work means to you, to earn enough to live your desired lifestyle, and to feel enough as the amazing human you already are right now.

Maybe you want to find work you love or maybe you just want to find work that pays the bills to free up more of your time.

Maybe you want to achieve a certain level of financial status or you just want to know your number to feel financially secure.

Maybe you want to work for yourself or maybe you don’t want the responsibility of self-employment, but still want some autonomy over how you work.

Conventional career advice hands you a goal. We help you define your own.

Your terms, not ours. We teach you how to identify your terms and then design your work around them.

Most people already know conventional career strategies have stopped working, especially in the Age of AI. They keep using them because they don’t know what else to do.

Most career advice teaches people to conform, and that’s a form of people-pleasing.

The answers you need come from knowing yourself, not from experts. We show you how to find them, and you won’t have to find them alone.

Clarity in Action

Our methodology offers an alternative to broken career advice.

It’s called Clarity in Action.

Creating work that works for you doesn’t mean figuring your career out all on your own, fussing over your resume or pretending to be someone you’re not just to land a job.

We believe it means focusing on the work most people avoid: knowing yourself, for yourself.

If you want to grow and work on your terms, that requires getting comfortable with the uncomfortable work of knowing yourself.

Lasting change is uncomfortable because it rewires your mind and habits.

And you can’t think your way there. Clarity comes from doing. You reflect, you try something, you learn what fits, and then you reflect again.

You also don’t have to do it alone.

We’re HUGE advocates of building a supportive community around your career! It will sustain your motivation, widen your perspective and make you more resilient.

Clarity in Action is a practice of self-reflection, work sprints, peer accountability, taking action and core work habits that helps you know yourself, overcome obstacles and focus on the actions that matter most to make your work, work for you.

Moving From Stuck to Integrated

When most people start working with us, they describe themselves as feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, lost or stuck.

What most of them want is clarity.

They are tired of working the way they feel they are “supposed to,” but are struggling to figure out how to work the way they “want to.”

They want to feel empowered to define what “enough” means to them in terms of success and to confidently live their version of it.

Our Clarity in Action framework brings them through five stages. Each stage focuses on the one core practice that will do the most to move them forward.

Stuck > Searching > Committed > Designing > Integrated

Not sure which stage you’re in? Our free Career Clarity Assessment will tell you. Answer 12 questions in about 20 minutes, and a person on our team, not AI, will review your answers and send you your stage and the next best step for you to take.

#1 Stuck

Practice: Self-Reflection

Focus: Engaging With Yourself

Most people begin their journey by first becoming aware that they feel stuck.

They feel burned out, overwhelmed, unclear on the direction of their career or out of alignment with their values and needs. At this stage, the most important first step is recognizing you feel stuck and want to figure out how to move forward.

Our methodology focuses on starting a self-reflection practice to inventory yourself and establish yourself as the orientation point of your work decisions, instead of reacting to the needs of “the system” or other people.

Start with the Career Clarity Assessment. When you finish, you’ll be invited to enroll in our free Self-Reflection Practice Course.

#2 Searching

Practice: Work Sprints

Focus: Engaging With the World Around You

As your self-reflection practice unfolds, you’ll get a clearer picture of where you are right now and where you want to go. At this stage, you will lean into your curiosity to start searching for options that align with your values, needs and abilities.

Building on your self-reflection practice, we teach you how to design work sprints to provide a framework for your search and to test your options.

We define a work sprint as a specified period of time to focus on one habit, task or experiment. For example, you might try a daily journaling habit for one week or give yourself two hours to identify your core values.

During this stage, you will explore ways of working previously unknown to you, gain new perspectives from new connections and experiment with new ways of working that make you thrive.

Enroll in our Practice Clarity Workshop to learn how to change one part of your current work you might believe isn’t possible, and discover how much more control over your work you have than you realize.

#3 Committed

Practice: Peer Accountability

Focus: Engaging With Community

As you deepen your search, you will narrow your options for designing work that feels “enough” to you and will build relationships with new people that can support you in the work you want to create.

At this stage, you feel clear enough to commit to a new career path and begin building a community of support around your work.

From our experience, the probability of creating work that works for you dramatically increases when you are part of an accountability group.

When you see success in others similar to you or who want the same change as you, you start believing in it for yourself too. Hanging with like-minded people increases your momentum for change and sustains your motivation without relying on your limited supply of willpower alone.

This is the stage to enroll in our Work Reimagined Collective, our 8-week live group coaching community. You’ll move through this stage and the next one inside it.

#4 Designing

Practice: Planning

Focus: Engaging With Your Work

By this stage, you have achieved clarity about your values, needs and abilities. You will start designing work in alignment with what you have learned about yourself.

Instead of choosing work, you are creating work opportunities that make you thrive and make you feel enough.

You choose your type of work, how you will perform it, what sustains your motivation, and even the types of people you work with.

Most importantly, you will identify your core habits to make your work, work for you.

You will rely on your self-reflection practice, your work sprint framework and your accountability group to create your Clarity Action Plan.

You’ll do this work inside the Work Reimagined Collective, alongside your accountability group.

#5 Integrated

Practice: Core Work Habits

Focus: Engaging With All of It, Together

In the final stage of your transition toward working on your terms, you will put your Clarity Action Plan into action through the development of three core habits identified during the Designing stage.

You will pull all the practices you have learned at each stage together into one integrated practice for how you work from here on.

Even once you’ve figured it out, keep your self-reflection habit and your accountability group!

Without those practices, all the hard work you put into finally creating work that works for you can easily be eroded by the needs of other people and “the system.”

Remain resilient and retain your agency by maintaining your self-reflection practice and peer accountability group.

When you graduate from the Work Reimagined Collective, you’ll be invited to join our Work Integrated Collective to stay motivated and accountable as the work you’ve created takes hold.

Is this for you?

It is if:

  • You’d rather define success than chase someone else’s version of it.

  • You’re willing to do the uncomfortable work of knowing yourself.

  • You’d rather try things than wait until you’ve figured it all out.

  • You want people in your corner while you do it.

  • You’re done playing a rigged game and ready to make your own rules.

It isn’t if:

  • You want someone to tell you what to do.

  • You’re looking for a resume rewrite or interview advice.

  • You want a quick fix rather than a lasting practice.

  • You’re waiting until you feel “ready” to start.

If you read that and thought “heck yes,” start here!
